For the second instalment of Rob C’s fruited IPA series we’ve enlisted Polish renegades of funk, Funky Fluid, and after discussing our mutual favourite fruited IPAs, we’ve again gone for a medley of tart berries and stone fruits. Starting with a single-hop IPA base using Mosaic in the whirlpool for its blueberry bubblegum aromas, we went heavy on the fruit - over 200g of it per litre, jam-packed with blackcurrants for big punchy bramble character, backed up with tart and tannic plum, and finally a lingering bite of sour cherry on the finish - all added post-fermentation to keep the fruit tasting fresh and juicy.
